Registration: Tuition payment is due at time of registration. If a class has a required kit, that needs to be paid at the time of registration as well. Register in person or over the phone 520-209-1900. We can accept Visa or Mastercard over the phone.
Cancelation Policy: Advance notice of 2 business days* is required to transfer to another course. After that time if you need to cancel (or don’t come to class) you will forfeit the class tuition.
*Classes taught by guest instructors or multi-day workshops required 2 weeks notice to receive a credit or transfer.
Arrival Time: All classes begin promptly at the posted start time. Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early. This ensures that all students will be ready to begin at the start of class. Late arrivals are extremely disruptive to classes. Please note that if you arrive 15 minutes late or more, you may be barred from attending class and will forfeit your registration fee.
Minimum Enrollment: Classes not meeting minimum enrollment may be canceled by Design & Adorn. In that case you will have your choice of a refund or store credit.
Class Materials: Except where otherwise noted, class tuition does not include materials. If you need to shop for supplies on class day, please arrive 20-30 minutes early so you’re ready to go at the start of class.
Homework: If a class has a HOMEWORKWhat does Homework mean?Some intermediate kumihimo classes have homework that needs to be completed before class. This typically involves cutting the cords and stringing the beads. When you sign up for a homework class, you’ll be given a instruction sheet explaining what needs to be done. requirement you’ll get the homework instructions when you register. Homework must be completed at home before the start of class or you will not be allowed to participate and you will forfeit the class tuition.
Scent-Free Environment: Some people are sensitive to smells such as perfume, cleaning solutions and even scented lotions. (Rebecca is one of these folks, and some smells—while pleasant—can induce awful headaches or coughing/sneezing fits). Please be considerate and refrain from wearing perfume or scented lotion during class.
Guests: Please do not bring unregistered guests with you. There is no place for them to “hang out” for the duration of your class. We do not allow audits.
Beverages: You are welcome to bring beverages to class provided that they’re in a container with a lid.
Children: Our classes are designed for adults and teenagers ages 14 and up. At this time we do not offer classes for younger children. Your teenage children 14 and older are welcome to attend any of our classes (assuming they meet the course prerequisites.)
Direction Re-Prints: Please write your name on your class handout. If you leave it behind and it has a name we can mail it to you. If you lose your directions there is a $5 re-print fee. There are no re-prints after six months from the date of class.
Respect for Students and Teachers: Design & Adorn desires to foster a positive environment in our classes and we do not tolerate rude, bad behavior, inappropriate conversations, swearing or foul language, violent, physical or verbal abuse. If you are removed from class for any of these behaviors, you will not receive any refunds nor be allowed back into class.

We appreciate that you’ve chosen to spend your money on our classes, and we promise to be patient, cheerful, and attentive to your needs.
