This is not the macrame you may have read about (or remember) from the 1960’s. Macrame is no longer limited to potholders and plant hangers! These casual, easy-to-make macrame bracelets are fun to wear and make great gifts.
Intro to Macrame
Level: Beginner – No previous jewelry making experience required.
Length of Class: 2 Hours
What Will I Actually Make in Class? You’ll learn how to make a macrame bracelet from start to finish including how to use a button as a clasp. Most students leave class wearing their new macrame bracelet or anklet.
How often is this class offered? This class usually comes up on the schedule every other month.
How much do the class supplies cost? That can be highly variable depending on what beads you choose. To give you an estimate, the supplies for the black bracelet pictured above come to $10.95 plus tax. The tan bracelet on the right features hand-made glass beads and the cost for its supplies is $30.95 plus tax. (Both estimates exclude Hypo-Cement because you don’t have to buy it for class.)
